Privacy Policy
Downtown Tattoo Company ("we" or "us") runs downtowntattoo.co. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us and the basic technical details every website receives.
- • What you type into our forms: your name, email address and phone number, your tattoo idea: preferred artist, style, placement, size, preferred date and whether it's your first tattoo.
- • Whether you ticked the optional text-message box, and the date you sent the form.
- • Messages, calls and texts you send us directly.
- • Basic technical details: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard security logs and counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or follow you to other websites.
2. How we use it
- • To answer questions, plan your design and book appointments.
- • To send appointment confirmations, reminders and aftercare information.
- • To take deposits and keep the ID and consent records Texas requires for every tattoo.
- • To call, email or text you back when you ask us to.
- • To keep spam, bots and fraud out of our forms.
- • To follow the law and keep records the law requires.
5. How long we keep it
We keep booking messages as long as we need them to plan and follow up on your tattoo. Signed consent forms and ID records from your appointment are kept as long as Texas health rules require. Then we delete them.
6. Your choices
To make a request, email [email protected] or call (936) 247-2089. We answer within 30 days.
- • Ask to see the personal information we have about you.
- • Ask us to correct it or delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- • Stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and stop emails by asking us.
7. Keeping it safe
This website only loads over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Form messages go straight to our business email, which is protected with two-step sign-in. No method is perfect, but we limit who can see your information to the people who need it.
8. Age
You must be 18 or older to book a tattoo, except for the narrow cover-up exception Texas law allows with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Other websites
We link to other websites, like social media pages and maps. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
